Coyote Moon Ranch
If you're looking for a rustic horseback riding or hiking experience, or just want to spend some quiet time in a beautiful, remote part of the country, come to Coyote Moon Ranch.
We're located in far western New Mexico, right on the edge of the Apache National Forest. Our back gate opens up to over two million pristine acres, full of wildlife, mountains, streams, and remnants of the ancient civilations that settled the southwest for thousands of years.
Bring your horse or your backpack and take a look at the New Mexico that you might not know. There are beautiful tall Ponderosa pine, ancient alligator juniper and an amazing plethora of wildflowers.
There are many watering sites for animals,
including a live stream that flows anywhere from a half mile from the
ranch to directly through it depending on the time of year. The
terrain for horsemen or hikers is varied, with everything from easy flat
ground to very challenging mountains.
You will go from majestic forest to grand canyon-like vistas in less than three miles. We also enjoy one of the most beautiful night skies in the world. The air is clear and the man made light is virtually non-existent. At 6500 ft. it is quite a sight to see.
